I love this blog, and I found the NYT editorial and the story itself profoundly moving. Our last Commander-in-Chief and his vizier had such shallow regard for the lives they spent so carelessly. This one, it seems, insists on a true sense of the sacrifice he is asking, at least. Let us hope that he finds the need wanting in the face of the cost, and brings our men and women home from a battle that in the end, despite their courageous and valiant efforts, they cannot win.
